Recap: Gatta’s Première Vol. IV

This year, the mood was just right: positive vibes and a shared desire to be together that could be felt in the air from early morning.

We chose to lean into Brescian tradition, the heritage of our land. The pairing with the Spiedo Bresciano from Parbleu Cafè was not merely a gastronomic choice, but a convivial act. The spiedo is a binder; it demands time, patience, and care. It fostered that sense of 'communion' and gathering around a shared moment, which is the very essence of our community. Eating together something that has been cooked for hours, while the fruit of years of waiting flows in the glass, created an even stronger sense of belonging.

The protagonists: Campiani Est AND Campiani Ovest

The wine glasses took center stage. Tasting the release of Parcellari 151 and 479 together was fundamental to giving continuity to these projects. The single-vineyard wines (i parcellari) are our magnifying glass on the Gussago soil: seeing them evolve and discussing them openly with you allows us to understand even more clearly the direction we are taking.

Beyond the tasting

Gatta’s Première, as we always say, is much more than a checklist of wines to tick off. The day ended just the way we like it: gathered around the large table in the tasting room, some standing, some seated, everyone mingling together.

We popped bottle after bottle brought from your own cellars. It is in those moments—between the sound of a cork popping and a shared sip—that we speak openly about wine and about life. We debated, chatted, and shared moments of genuine passion, exchanging our holiday wishes in a way that was both profound and fun.

Francesca and I thank you because, every year, you bring more than just great bottles; you bring your curiosity and your sincerity. This fourth edition of Gatta’s Première leaves us with a wonderful energy: the energy of a community that doesn’t just drink, but strives to share things that are both beautiful and profound.

2025 was an intense year, and closing it this way, together with all of you, was the best way to recharge our batteries for the upcoming season.
